After moving to Houston she worked for prominent real estate and tax attorneys and later joined Bolin Development Corp. where she worked in the commercial real estate sector. JDRF selected Carol as Chair of the JDRF Children's Congress, a national event in Washington, DC created to lobby the government for additional funding. As the Chair, she worked personally with 200 families representing all 50 states in order to introduce them to their Congressmen and United States Senators.
