Yenny Mattei Bio

Growing up my family valued entrepreneurship and believed in success being achieved through honesty, dedication, commitment, and hard work. I have carried this with me throughout life, in everything I do. I have a passion for real estate and know these values. This combined with sales, negotiation, contract management, and communication skills developed over my 15 years in the oil and gas industry allow me to successfully cater to your real estate needs.

Before moving to Houston, I attained a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from one of the most prestigious universities in Venezuela. After graduating, I was eager to move to the United States and I chose Houston as my home, where I obtained a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Houston. I then pursued a successful career in the oil and gas industry for 15 years, working for Fortune 500 companies such as NOV, GE, Cameron and Schlumberger. During this time, I gained experience and acquired skills which prepared me for success in real estate. This includes international experience working in multi-million dollar projects with high profile customers, a successful track record in International sales, customer excellence, technical and commercial negotiations, contract management and project management.

Even before dedicating myself to real estate full time, I was always passionate about it and was actively involved in Houston's real estate market, developing and managing a substantial portfolio of investment properties in the inner loop. In addition, I have constantly been there to serve friends by providing them with sound advice and direction in areas such as real estate investment, home buying, and home staging and decoration.

I like to stay active and support my community. When not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, exploring Houston's wonderful parks, practicing yoga, gardening, and attending the Houston Symphony as well as other local theaters.

Buying one while selling another

Should I rent a house or buy?

Hi there, right now is a good time to buy. Interest rates are the lowest they have been and the inventory is high so sellers are very motivated yo negociate. What can we do if we are under contract and find live termites even though the Sellers Disclosure said the house had termite treatment?

Hi Brandom,\nYou must lean on your realtor for the best advice as he/she will know the situation better than anyone. Besides all other answers provided to you here, about the option period, etc. Keep in mind that you/the seller not only have to treat the house for termites this one time, you will have to establish or maintain a maintenance service plan for life to keep inspection and keep termites away.\nYenny 713-836-8243\n

Hello HAR I was wondering what the standard cost is for a basic inspection?

Hi Michael, \nIt will all depend on the type of inspection you or your lender may require. I would suggest to contact 2-3 inspection companies to get estimates and make a desition. The price will depend on the type, size and age of the home, etc. \nIt is always important to work close to your realtor as well. What does listing status \"Offer(s) Received\" mean? Is it actually Active or Pending?

Good morning \"offer received\" is not a formal status in an HAR listing; my best guess is that if an agent put that in the notes, which they should not, as the actual status must be the one updated- this would compare to the status \"Option pending continue to show\" which means the property may be or will be under contract following the option period but the seller invites other buyers to continue to tour it

Can I trust the Zillow Zestimate of my house?

Zillow\'s data in general is to be verified by a Real Estate professional. Remember that the numbers posted as \"Zillo Zestimate\" are there at the discretion of the person posting it and they do not have to be accurate nor they have any intensive to be. they can be misleading indeed. We all as a consumer and as a realtor, count with HAR which is an amazing tool being monitored for accuracy and compliance for the terrific and professional HAR team. this days if you are working with a realtor you can even have access to \"premium content\" such as days on the market, actual sold prices and archives, this info is 100% legitimate and is audited in a regulat bases. Why to get the diluted info when you have access to the main corruptible source! I am just saying...
