Think it would be a 'good' to have feature to include the home direction - North Face, West Face that enables a comprehensive search

Hey Ram, I agree, that including the home's orientation (e.g., North or West facing) in search criteria can be helpful, especially for clients who value natural light or have cultural or personal preferences. This field is available in MLS, but since its not mandatory, it may not be filled in for every property, which could limit search results. In my experience, it's pretty 50/50 whether agents will add this field which is why I think it should be mandatory. At the moment, realtors or subscribe...

At the moment, realtors or subscribers of HAR are only able to see this field when setting up a search or populating results, however, I believe it should be implemented for consumers as well.

Hi! As Listing Agents we have the option to insert the direction the property faces into the MLS. However, since it's an "optional" field, most people do not input this information. If this information is put in, I would double check the accuracy if the direction the Property faces is relevant to you. Given this is likely a relevant search criteria for you since you posted the question, I would recommend setting up your search with other relevant criteria and then from there click on a map of an...

Good morning Ram! There already is a search feature that lets one search for which way the door faces, however it is only available to realtors, unfortunately. You will have to have your realtor do a search for you. Also, some agents don't enter that information when submitting a listing, so not all the homes meeting that criteria will show up in that search. If you don't have a realtor, I'd be happy to help you!  Email  281-450-7199Hope this helps!

Absolutely, having the home direction (North Facing, West Facing, etc.) as a feature in the search criteria is beneficial, especially for clients who prioritize natural light or have specific preferences based on cultural or personal beliefs. We already have this field in MLS, which is great. However, since its not a required field, it might not be populated for all properties, which could limit the comprehensiveness of the search results. Still, its a valuable tool to include where available, and we can always work around it by manually verifying for key listings if necessary.

It is an option to search for where the door faces. However, it isnt mandatory to fill out that section when listing a property and therefore not all of them will show that. Another option is to open the map and check which way the door will face.

Matrix already has a field to indicate which direction the front door faces. You can create a search adding that field to your criteria which will give you what youre looking for (as long as the listing agent has completed the field)
