Yes, you should. You should have your builder evaluate the lot for the structure you intend to build. You do not want to own a lot that is unsuitable for your project. Also, i assume that you have already checked for restrictions, HOA, flood zone,subsidence and drainage and any local ordinances that might impair your ability to build your project.

Hello everyone, I recently bought a home and upon checking the details on hcad.org, I see that an extra full bathroom is being reported. I also do not have a fireplace and that is listed right there. Is that something that needs to be fixed asap? Thank you in advance for your help.

Go to HCAD's website and there is a form for corrections. These errors often go back to when the home was built ns the appraiser used a similar floor plan which may have had different upgrades and they just assumed all the houses are the same. We see it often with square footage discrepancies where there are bonus rooms built out in attic space.

My goal is to have passive income through cash flow properties. Im interested in either multi family with the maximum of 4 units (less is fine) or SFR 3/2. Jacky,\n\nPeople who rent are looking for neighborhoods that are in a good proximity to where they work, OR, if it\'s a family, they\'re looking for neighborhoods zoned to certain schools. I\'ve been on both sides with helping renters find neighborhoods and in turn showing investors where renters are looking to live. If I have a $ 2.3 M property for sale and I\'m being advised to list it also as a rental, (we\'ve already moved out), won\'t it be to my advantage to have a different listing agent for the rental --- one who specializes in RENTING high end properties? It doesn\'t seem like the commission for the rental will be \"worth it\" to the agent representing it for sale, and a separate agent would be more motivated ... and each agent would then be dedicated to their respective task? I haven\'t discussed how long a lease or how much the agent gets paid yet .. is there a norm?

Janna,\n\nThe listing agent selling your property should be able to help you with renting it as well. If you\'re concerned about commissions then have that honest conversation with the realtor. If you\'re bringing good business to the table, then the realtor will want to listen to your concerns and come to a mutual agreement.
