Understand how it works for buying/selling, but not so much when the client is looking to rent and not buy. Is this a common practice (realtor for renting)? Looking to move out of apartment into a house and from Willowbrrok area closer to city.

Not all Realtors see the advantage of working with tenants. At Imagine Realty International we know that tenants can become buyers so why would we not work with them to find a home? That's just good business. If you are still in need of a Realtor to help you find a rental, even apartments we are here for you. 832-444-2363. No fee to you!

Generally there is no fee paid to the agent by the tenant in lease transactions. Similar to the buying and selling process the property owners broker or the apartment community will pay an agreed upon commissions to both agents.

You'll sign the buyer/tenant rep agreement allowing the agent to represent you, then you and your agent will work together to locate your new home. Since apartment renting is a bit different than leasing a home, your agent will be a wonderful resource in guiding you through the application and screening process. He or she will also help you avoid certain pitfalls and make clear what you should expect from the time you submit your application to the day you receive your keys!

Just as Tim stated, you and your agent will need to confirm that the owner/community is willing to work with and pay agents for providing prospective tenants.

It is common that a Realtor helping a person find a rental home to cost the tenet zero dollars providing the landlord/agent are offering a commission fee to the tenet Realtor.

to safeguard yourself, you can make it clear to a Realtor working with you that you will pay zero commission.

If you have any more questions, please let me know. Or if your interested in contacting me, I would be happy to help you find a home to rent.

Kind Regards,
