After returning to the Bayou City in 2008, Dawan later attended Texas A&M University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Geographical Information Science and Technology. He currently resides in Third Ward, where he has a deep appreciation for the architecture of the homes in his neighborhood. As a volunteer member of the Emancipation Park Conservancy, Dawan is passionate about giving back to the community he loves. He enjoys dancing and discovering the unique features of the Houston landscape that are often overlooked. What Dawan loves most about Houston is that it is a haven for new opportunities, just as it was for his family over 40 years ago when they moved to the city.

Born and raised in Venezuela, Maria Ruedas emigrated to the USA 16 years ago. She is proud to be a Naturalized Citizen and doesn't take the countless opportunities afforded in this country for granted. After living as an Expat for 3 years in Australia, Andrés Zilveti is back in Houston where he lives with his spouse and his dog, Buddy.
