When Adela Alvarez says that she treasures the joy of helping clients achieve the “American Dream” she speaks from personal as well as professional experience. Adela emigrated from her native Nicaragua to the United States as an adult and began working first in insurance sales and then in international banking. She ultimately transitioned to real estate sales and it was the beginning of her own highly successful American Dream.

“I began working as a real estate agent in 2001,” Adela says. “I love real estate. My dad was an engineer and real estate investor, and I had a lot of early exposure to the excitement of real estate projects and the pleasure investing in homes. When I first started, I worked with a lot of first time home buyers and their joy when they bought that first house was infectious. Even now, more than 13 years on, it still is.”

Patience and persistence, combined with strategic market knowledge and excellent communication and negotiation skills, make Adela the Realtor of choice for a loyal network of clients. ”A real estate transaction is a business transaction but there is a highly personal element to it as well. Sometimes, buyers and sellers just want to know that you are really listening to them and making their goals your priority. In my case, speaking another language – Spanish – really helps my international clients feel comfortable and included in every facet of the transaction.”

Adela is an active volunteer with the Charity Guild of Catholic Women and Hope Clinic International, and serves on the board of Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos. She raises funds for medical missions in Nicaragua and has volunteered as a translator for doctors working there. She recently chaired the first dinner/fundraiser for Fabretto, an organization started more than 25 years ago to educate children in rural Nicaragua.

Adela attended college at the Universidad Autonoma de Centroamerica (UACA). She, her husband and three daughters live in West University. Adela spends rare leisure time with her family and she enjoys spin classes and biking.

I have been an Agent for more than 6 years.. I'm a Top 10 Producer with listings and sales. I serve Harris, Dallas, and Fort Bend Counties. I serve in my church as a Director of Bible Study and a Deacon, past president of my HOA, and on several boards. My prior career, I worked as an executive in the Transportation industry for 35 years as a division manager and retired 4 years ago. Over that period, I was responsible for a $20 million monthly budget and $25 million in Revenues. Service and Profit were key responsibilities. I have bought, sold and invested in real estate for the past 30 years and currently hold over 10 rental properties. Married for 42 years to Marla, Father of 4, Grandfather of 6.

She has a broad-based knowledge of Houston having lived here in a near town neighborhood raising her own now adult daughter, married to her Houston native husband for over 35 years! She has closed transactions in and around Houston metropolitan area including River Oaks, Tanglewood, Memorial, West University, Southside Place and nearly all of Harris, Montgomery and Ft. Bend counties as well! Her practice of providing no non-sense advice and attention to the details has won her the repeat and referral business of her client base and her affiliation with the Women's Council of Realtors Texas as a National & a State officer adding to her already very credible reputation in the industry! She gives back to her industry with her invovement as a Major Investor to the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee and is a President's Circle Member as wwll. She serves her community through several other organizations as well, including as a member of the School Art Auction, and International Committees of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Peggie was an instructor for the University of Houston Small Business Development Center for over 16 years, Past President of her Toastmasters Club where she earned a Platinum status, and an occasional speaker and panelist at various business and real estate events. Her BS in Real Estate and MA in Human Sciences are both from University of Houston as well. She speaks conversational Spanish and greatly enjoys meeting new people and making connections and building relationships!
