A native of Fort Worth, Ruthie graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in interior design and a minor in architecture. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and is a retired member of the Junior League of Houston. Ruthie has served on the Texas Christian University Clark Board, the TCU Parent Council, and the boards of several Houston charities. She belongs to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and is the mother of three grown sons.

Jade is a native of San Diego, CA and graduate of University of North Texas where she received a BA in marketing. Since 1995, she has also been an antiques and collectibles dealer, as well as a contract designer for Reidy's Antiques.
