Sonny Tunstall

Sonny Tunstall is a sixth-generation East Texan, born and raised in Crockett and Houston County. Before real estate, Sonny spent decades in business, starting in banking in 1972 and opening his first retail store in Beaumont in 1976. He went on to own and operate retail stores in Beaumont, Nederland, and Port Arthur for the next thirty years, while also investing in commercial and multi-family real estate on the side.

In 2007, Sonny earned his real estate and broker’s licenses in Boerne, Texas, and spent three years representing buyers and sellers around San Antonio and the Hill Country, work that earned him the Graduate, Realtors®’ Institute (GRI) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designations. In 2010, Sonny came home to East Texas, settling on a farm in Grapeland with his wife, Lisa, and has since built a reputation as a top-producing broker across Houston County and the surrounding six-county region.

That combination of experience, decades in business ownership followed by formal real estate credentials, is part of what makes Sonny Tunstall Real Estate different from a typical local agency. Clients aren’t working with someone who only knows the paperwork side of a transaction. Sonny has negotiated leases, managed retail properties, and made his own real estate investments, and he brings that same practical judgment to every client’s buying or selling decision.
