We contacted some realtor to guide us through the process but wasn’t satisfied with the service strategy of the two realtors we contacted. They are mostly rushing us into buying a house without giving us time to know if we really love what we see and are comfortable with the mortgage payment. It was easy for me to see clearly that those two realtors were interested in closing on the house quickly and making their own commission without considering our satisfaction. We left those realtors, and afterward we contacted Naomi Munuhe. It was a pleasant experience all the way from the beginning to the end of the buying process. I can still remember some vital points that Naomi always emphasized on whenever she discussed with us, ‘ consider your income’ ‘we will keep looking until we found what you really love and is within your budget, ‘it’s good to buy a small house in a great value and good environment than buying a big house in a less valued and unsafe environment’ ‘let me know what time works for you so we can go check on that house and see if you like it and if you don’t like it, don’t worry we will keep looking’. I can continue to list those statements.. We visited some houses together and in each cases Naomi never put pressure on us to make a decision in a haste. She later found one for us which we all love. The first time myself and my wife visited the house, my wife just told me WE HAVE FOUND A HOUSE, LET’S GO FOR THIS. We have never regretted taking this step, with mortgage that falls within our budget. After closing, Naomi help us to pay our last rent at the apartment where we lived. She also contacted the movers on our behalf and pay for our moving. She later educated us on many aspects of mortgage management including refinancing, recast, insurance, escrow, principal, Homestead Exception etc. She did a great job and that’s why we still patronize her to date. The listing agent was going to be able to be a dual agent and represent both us as the buyer and the seller as well unless there were multiple offers. It did become a multiple offer situation and we were handed off to Jaqui. From the beginning, we did not feel she completely understood the specific market we were in. In the interactions that followed, we did not receive helpful guidance or any real assistance at all. One task was asked of her: to price out the repairs we were asking for in order to get an accurate value when asking for concessions. Once she discovered we were meeting with a designer who would be bringing a contractor, that task was quickly reassigned back to us. Phone calls were brief and felt rushed. We never met in person. The last we heard from her was roughly 2 weeks BEFORE our closing and have heard nothing since. A commission was served up on a silver platter with virtually no work required on her part at all.
