To get started, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a legal resident of Texas or a U.S. citizen. Next, you will need to complete 180 hours of pre-license education from an approved education provider. I recommend Champions School of Real Estate as they are one of the leading providers in Texas. After completing the pre-license education, you must pass the Texas real estate licensing exam. Once you pass the exam, you can apply for your real estate license with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). To gain experience and guidance, you will need to work with a sponsoring broker. They will help you throughout the licensing process and beyond. In addition, you will need to complete 90 hours of post-license education within your first year of licensure to maintain your license. You will also need to complete continuing education courses and renew your license every two years. If you have any questions or concerns about becoming a licensed real estate agent in Texas, please feel free to contact me at 281-732-3090 or david@blokblvd.com. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and offer my expertise. Don't hesitate to reach out anytime to talk!

if you want to be a real estate agent you must first get your license. There are accredited schools on line and in person that can assist you with that. Then you must bring your license to a real estate brokerage licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission. You must be an active real estate agent for at least 4 years before applying to be a broker and meet the criteria. If you need help give me a call at 713-550-4670. I would be glad to help.
