Philip Alter’s unswerving dedication and tireless commitment to serving his clients have established him among the top-tier of real estate professionals in the Houston area. A third-generation Houstonian, Philip knows the city’s neighborhoods, their schools and their culture. He uses that knowledge to guide buyers to a purchase that suits their needs, and help sellers effectively stage their house for a sale. Philip takes the time to educate all of his clients about the market, and makes their needs and real estate goals his priority. He is accustomed to working with clients of varying personalities, from the experienced investor to the novice first-time buyer.
A lifelong interest in architecture and design provide an excellent foundation for Philip’s work in residential real estate. Houses are his passion, and he has an extraordinary ability to see both the potential and true value in a home when assessing properties with his clients. Philip personally purchases and renovates older homes, using his vision to restore their beauty and charm, and give them an advantage in today’s market. Purposely not limited to one arena, he also maintains expertise in the city’s burgeoning residential high-rise market and in new-construction homes.
Philip attended Davidson College and received a bachelor of arts in art history from the University of the South. When not working, he is very involved with arts community and is a member of Rice Design Alliance, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, The Menil Collection, and Trees for Houston.
