A Clear Lake City native, Jamie graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. She still lives in her hometown where she and her husband have raised five children and have three grandchildren. Jamie and her husband are active in their community and are members of Lakewood Yacht Club where Jamie participates in the women's sailing club.
