Cathy Scherer
Cathy Scherer brings solid marketing experience to her successful practice of real estate. Cathy began her real estate career in 2003 and joined Bernstein Realty in 2018. As a resident of the Houston area for over 35 years, she is familiar with all of the neighborhoods in the Houston metropolitan area.
Cathy knows that home ownership is a personal and emotional decision. "Being trusted to educate, guide and protect clients' best interest is a great responsibility; my clients are comfortable with me and know that I will take care of what needs to be handled to help them reach their goals. My clients know that I believe in constant communication and that they can always reach me." Cathy assists clients with Buying, Selling and Leasing homes throughout Houston and surrounding areas, as well as assisting newcomers and Houstonians with Relocating to or from the Houston area.
Born in New York City, Cathy went to junior high and high school in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Marketing. After graduation, she trained as a buyer for a national high-end retailer and worked in New York City and Los Angeles for 10 years, before taking her business, buying and negotiation skills to the real estate industry.
Cathy grew up in the Memorial area, raised her children in Bellaire and is currently residing in the Galleria area. As a mother of two daughters who attended Bellaire High School Cathy was very involved in the PTO and the girls' volleyball teams both at school and with traveling club teams. One daughter is currently living in Los Angeles and the other is currently living in Houston working in the residential mortgage business. When not working, Cathy enjoys going to Memorial Park, being involved with fitness, spending time with her dog and going to numerous cultural and sporting events happening in Houston.

I came from Paris, France to purchase a one-bedroom condo. While the purchase was small on the scale of typical real-estate deals, Cathy Scherer gave me full attention and personal support, wherever my actions at a distance ran into obstacles. One event stands out: I had to send a check by Federal Express FedEx promptly lost my letter. There Cathy wrote a check from her own, personal account to cover the imminent need and allowed me to reimburse her later.
