Horrible experience. When I moved in, my stove was 6" out from the wall and there were hundreds of dead cockroaches everywhere. Inside light fixtures, in my garbage disposal, in kitchen drawers...everywhere. The place was filthy (disgusting residue and stains in drawers, someone elses' hair in the shower drain) and the make-ready had obviously not been finished, but management wouldn't do anything about it. I had to pester maintenance for a week+ to get very basic things fixed (multiple doors didn't close, cabinets missing handles, smoke detector laying out disassembled, kitchen sink leaking into cabinet below—these are a few things from a list of 10+ items. also, the HVAC cover fell open while I was getting out of the shower, narrowly missing my head, and showered the entire bathroom in filth). They changed out the roach-filled light fixtures, but I had to rent a vacuum to get rid of the other dead roaches because they wouldn't do anything about them. Half of the photos attached are from the day after I moved in, the other half are from the water damage described below.
The reason I moved out was because my apartment had obvious mold and water issues that were getting drastically worse, and the office didn't respond to multiple written requests to fix it ASAP. My nasal congestion got much worse and I started having nosebleeds every day—not symptoms you want to deal with when there's a respiratory disease pandemic. When they did finally send maintenance people in, they weren't wearing masks (I had been assured they would be) and they had incorrect information (asked where the "leak" was, when what I had been complaining about was that the walls and ceiling were visibly cracking because they were so swollen from water, but was very clear that there were no leaks). I spent several weeks chasing up the office, trying to get information on what kind of repairs would be done and when, and when I never got any solid answer I made preparations to move out.
I never received any communication from the complex after moving out, and then in November got a bill from a collections agency for the remainder of my lease *plus interest,* which is ILLEGAL. I'm guessing they sent it straight to collections because I'm not even sure they CAN legally send me a bill with the current COVID-19 eviction restrictions. Avoid this place, it's a filthy mess and management is unprofessional, unethical, lazy, and disorganized.
