Prior to my career in real estate, I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center for over five years, and later taught middle school reading, writing, and served as a leader in Special Education for years. I credit my time in those careers to learning how to build meaningful relationships, and to honing my skills in communication. My passion for helping others continues to extend into my real estate career! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Entertainment Business, an English Language Arts/Reading Education Certification for Grades 4-8, and a K-12 Special Education Certification. Emelie Mavligit brings a native Houstonian's outlook and understanding of the city and its residents to her career in real estate sales with Compass Real Estate. Growing up in West University, Emelie has a close attachment to the neighborhood and the neighborhoods of Houston proper.


Graced with an outgoing personality, Emelie is a go-getter who is at the same time extremely meticulous and organized. A previous, 10-year career in marketing, public relations and event planning honed her communications skills and gives her excellent marketing savvy and an enviable list of resources to call upon.
