I'm an Architect from Bogota, Colombia. I moved to Dallas in 2000 where I started working for an Architectural and Planning firm, specialized in Residential / Multifamily. I was a Project Manager specialized in Town Home Projects. I relocated to Katy in 2004 and continue to work for the same firm. In 2016 I decided to change my career path and pursue my dream of becoming a Real Estate Agent. My architectural background becomes an asset for my clients. I consider myself energetic, friendly and efficient. I understand how exciting and challenging it is to find a Dream Home and the process behind it, as well, as the process of selling a property. Mercedes Aubone believes the place you live will help shape your family. It’s one reason she’s committed to helping buyers find the perfect home-whether it’s a single family residence or even a ranch or beach house.

Mercedes was born in a General Roca, Patagonia, Argentina, but has called Houston home for the past 5 years. She appreciates the unique needs of an international newcomer as well as the uncertainties all home buyers and sellers face and is adept and approaching their working relationship with warmth and sensitivity.

She knows that real estate is much more than just selling houses. “It’s treating clients with respect, listening them, attending to their concerns, and keeping in touch with them.” A true people person, her rich background in travel and exposure to different cultures allows her to connect with all clients. She speaks Spanish and English and can communicate in Portuguese as well.

Mercedes has worked in sales for over 15 years. Before entering real estate, she worked as a customs broker. Her experience built a solid foundation of skills from communication to public relations, organization to management.

Mercedes is married with three wonderful children. She says, “My husband and my kids are my inspiration, but my greatest influence has been and will be Jesus.” She is a member of CrossPoint Community Church, school PTA and homeroom mom, a member of Museum of Fine Arts of Houston, and a Girl Scout volunteer. She enjoys yoga, running, and escaping to the beach every weekend she can.
