While other kids were playing with their plastic Tonka trucks and dozers, Robbie was helping dad fix and operate the real ones. Jobsites and construction zones were his playground.

My family relocated from Aberdeen Scotland to Houston, Texas in 1995 with my husband's job in the oil industry. I can remember how challenging it was to coordinate the move with children ages 4, 7, and 10; trying to find the right schools, the right activities, and the right house (not to mention driving on the wrong side of the road)! There, I established a successful wholesale business catering to local hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, and retail stores. My family, consisting of my wife and three boys, made a significant move to Houston, Texas in 2006, driven by the aspiration to provide our children with a superior education in the United States.
