A detail-oriented, technologically-savvy self-starter, Emily Vidor Porter began her real estate career with a plan. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Emily was on track for law school but soon realized she needed to change course. "I worked for an oil and gas law firm and quickly realized that a desk job was not for me," she says. "I knew it was time to make a different plan that got me out of the office and interacting with people. I signed on as an agent-assistant at Greenwood King Properties in 2013 and learned the business from the ground up!"
After four, very intense, years learning from and working side-by-side with top producers at GK, Emily became an agent without missing a beat. After graduation from Episcopal High School, Emily earned her degree from the University of Texas where she a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and is still an active alum. In addition, Emily loves to also volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where she has served on the Souvenir committee and now currently serving on the Breeders Greeters committee. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, working-out, watching college football, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Mark and their dog, Jagger.
