I have worked in Houston's real estate industry for over 20 years. Having lived in this wonderful city for more than 25 years, I have been fortunate enough to witness its growth firsthand. It has been my privilege to assist numerous people in relocating to Houston. I always make it a point to listen carefully to my client's concerns and needs so that I can find the perfect home for them. The better I know my clients, the more effectively I can refine their search in this market. I oversee every detail to make the process smooth and stress-free. Furthermore, I work hard to negotiate my clients' best sell, buy, and lease prices. I also ensure that my relocating clients are well-informed about everything Houston offers. In my free time, I love spending time with my 20-year-old daughter, who attends college out of state. We enjoy traveling together and having the life experiences it offers. I also enjoy cross-training and running in Memorial Park, meeting friends at one of Houston's fabulous eateries, volunteering at the SPCA, and advocating for animal welfare to prevent suffering. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in History and a minor in Secondary Education, I spent a handful of years on visual merchandising, sales, and marketing teams in fashion, furniture, creative advertising, and commercial real estate brokerage respectively. My specialties include marketing properties and portfolios for lease and sale, representing tenants and landlords in their contract negotiations, acquisitions of new locations for business owners and assisting investors looking to add to their commercial real estate holdings. The changing economic landscape lead to my landing at HomeSmart and I enjoy being a commercial asset to the brokerage while expanding my residential real estate expertise.
Kimberly Deckard, a native Houstonian, is passionate about her professional residential brokerage career. Kimberly joined Nino Properties in 2003 and specialized in assisting newcomers locate the perfect place to call “HOME”! During her association with Nino Properties she has been awarded Top Producer status. She enjoys working with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants. Kimberly began her passion for residential real estate while working with a major real estate investment trust (REIT) leasing upscale apartments in Midtown. She opened the Rice Hotel after its renovation and becoming a historical location for multi-family property. Her uncompromising level of customer service has garnered many referrals for home sales which she enjoys equally as much as working with renters in all areas of Greater Houston. Kimberly relocated to Austin, TX for a few years before returning to the city she dearly loves. While living in Austin, Kimberly volunteered for Austin Pets Alive, which successfully pulled over 200 puppies off the euthanasia list and placed them in loving homes. Kimberly wants her clients to know she is tenacious and determined and will do whatever it takes to make sure her clients are well represented while receiving the top notch level of service they deserve. Making purchasing and selling a home as enjoyable an experience as possible is always Martha Rocks’ mission, and she listens closely to her clients. With a background in professional tennis, Martha understands how to deal with all personality types while staying focused on her clients’ real estate goals. She stays informed about the Houston real estate market as well as current economic conditions that influence the housing industry.
Martha received a bachelor of arts in philosophy from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. She moved to Houston from Colorado in 1999 and embraced what the city has to offer. Martha is a director of the World Affairs Council of Houston, serves on the boards of Baylor College of Medicine Huffington Center on Aging and the Baylor Partnership, and supports the Open Door Mission, a facility for homeless men. A student of piano and the ballet, Martha also serves on the board of the Houston Ballet and is a strong supporter of the Houston Symphony.
Martha’s leisure hours are spent playing tennis, reading, and cooking. She is an avid traveler as well.
