She has co-chaired fund raising events for Easter Seals, was active for several years in the Assistance League of Houston and Achievement Awards for College Scientists, and has participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She is also a long-time member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's School Art Committee. Roxy attended the University of Houston and she is the mother of three adult children.
