Real estate is the perfect career for me because with hard work, potential is limitless. Instead of refusing to get back up after losing my health care job during the pandemic, I arose as a stronger professional ready to leave the daily grind behind to help educate others about the benefits of being a homeowner. If my previous work in hospitality and pharmaceutical sales taught me anything, it's that the better you understand people, the more you can help them. A Houston resident for over two decades, I retained a wealth of knowledge regarding property for sale in and around the Heights, Katy, Pearland, Spring Branch, and Richmond. My comprehensive understanding of how businesses work stems from a degree in business management and a broad professional background that reinforced the core values of honesty and integrity. As a real estate agent, I would rather lose and do the right thing than win by doing the wrong things. Whether I am working with lenders or title companies, relationship building is another one of my priorities in this business.

My favorite compliment is when I'm told that I helped a client find the perfect house and made the transaction not only successful but enjoyable. We also help our sellers to stage their home prior to putting it on the market in order to help it sell for the best price, and we can also help buyers design and plan their remodel of a home. One of Lara's greatest assets is the ability to really listen. Once a client has described what they are looking for, I can search for property through their eyes, Lara says. And I always remember that purchasing a home or land for a home is one of the most important decisions most people will ever make. My working partner Trey also means a client gets two for one personal service.

Lara is a fourth generation Houstonian who grew up in Spring Valley and Memorial. She attended the University of Houston and Texas A&M University. Lara is married and has two adult sons, one of whom, Trey Nesmith, is a Realtor and has worked alongside Lara for many years as her working partner.
