“Wayo was friendly, personable, generous with his time on phone calls, and patient with us as we came to better understand with his help what kind of home we were actually looking for. He was very cognizant of our being uninformed first-time home buyers, but I never felt like he was trying to manipulate us. Instead, he expressed wanting to teach and guide us throughout the way. We were able to use a web app provided by Compass to share our thoughts on homes in a collection , which made it easy to transition from looking at homes online to viewing them in-person. Wayo was laser-fast in sending us documentation to sign online, which was also super convenient. Wayo understood what type of homes we could actually afford and discerned that other homes areas we were looking into were being flipped, offered at a low price, and sold at a higher bid not something we had the time or money to do When we expressed our concerns with how our eventually-purchased home did on its inspections, Wayo seemed a little flustered frustrated. However, he followed-up on our concerns with an extremely detailed email to bolster our confidence in purchasing our home. The worst part about our working with Wayo was his communication. I felt like I was the one asking for the next steps at various points in the process. We communicated most frequently over text which was fine. I would have LOVED a regular, Good morning Okay, here s where we are in the process, and here s what I need from you . As I stated, Wayo wasn t manipulative. But because we really had no idea what we were doing as first-time home buyers, we really relied on his help to a large degree. As such, we would ve benefited from him taking a strong lead but being more involved, regularly saying things like, Here s exactly what you need to know. How do you feel about this? Is there anything you re unsure or afraid of? What can I do to help? I m going to take care of this for you, but let me explain exactly what I m doing. ”
