Denise Foster-Anderson joined knows Houston and its surrounding areas quite well. She grew up in Houston and has lived and worked in various areas of town. She graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. After 16 years as an Emergency Room and Labor and Delivery Nurse she got her Real Estate License and joined The Dawn Bajalieh Team. Her compassion and caring carries over to her clients. My name is Vic Lawrence and I would be honored to have the opportunity to serve you as it relates to Real Estate and the decisions you will be making as you consider selling, leasing, or purchasing property. The way you present your home serves as an extension of how much you care about your property and, believe it or not, targets your particular buyer. Presentation can be tricky. If you put effort into the wrong thing, it can derail the whole selling experience and leave you with low offers and long days on the market.
Most sellers I speak with just don't know where to begin or they are overwhelmed so they go to an investor like Opendoor, Offer Pad, or Orchard. What sellers don't know is these investor companies charge an up front 'reselling' fee of 5%-6% to pay for the commissions of the agents who will resell your home AFTER the investor purchases it from you. What seller's also don't know is that these companies give you $20k~ less than market value and then deduct repairs on top of that and still charge an additional 1% transaction fee. If you haven't done the math yet, that is roughly $40k+ of your equity (depending on true market value). They are using your equity to make money so you don't have to do any repairs or have any showings. For very few people, this is a very necessary evil. For most people, you need to run as fast as you can and come find me!

My love for real estate began to develop my freshman year of college when my in-laws were building a house in the Woodlands themselves. I was out at the lot every weekend helping my husband and my father in law build their house from the foundation up. I poured concrete, framed, roofed, did the plumbing, hung drywall, and anything else you can think of. I know what goes into building a house, and the obstacles that arise during the process. Since my husband and I learned so much from that experience, we have become avid DIYers ourselves. One of my strengths is being able to walk into a house and seeing its full potential, and helping my clients (whether buying or selling) see that as well. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids at swim team and baseball, being active at church where I sing on the praise team, and I am very involved in the PTO at my child's elementary school where I have been VP of Fundraising the last 2 years. If I really have spare time I always enjoy a round of golf with my husband!
