The home inspections are purchased by the buyer for the buyer. It is not necessary for the Seller to be there unless Buyer agrees to it. That\'s just my professional opinion. Buyers will typically use the home inspections not only to make sure the home is in livable condition, but also to see what repairs they can use as leverage to renegotiate the sales price before their option period ends. As far as it being a legal matter, you can consult with a Real Estate Attorney to give any legal advice.
