It's not as safe for families as you'd expect. The lack of sidewalks, high speed limit on Queenston Boulevard, the lack of traffic lights or stop signs, lack of crosswalks, and poorly installed sidewalks laid 20 years ago that have no been fixed (god forbid you're a wheelchair user, child on a bike or skateboard, or a parent pushing a stroller) make this neighborhood unfit. It's embarrassing how hardly anything has been done to fix the issue. Injuries are constant. Kids also don't have any activities to do within their own neighborhood, aside from walking or biking in the golf course that they're technically not allowed to play in, because the streets are full of oblivious middle aged drivers in large trucks who have no spatial awareness to even notice kids on the street. The alternative I suppose would be for these kids to hang around at the gas station with the vape shop next to it. How classy and family-friendly.
