Electronic Rent Payments

The USPS is not reliable and I am searching for another way to collect rent payments. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to collect rent electronically?

We manage rental properties and set our tenants up on ACH so their account is debited each month on 1st of month.

I too own rental property myself. I wasn't aware of these other resources, but they all sound great. My tenants are required to pay their rent electronically, and it works great for both them and for us. We have a separate account that we use for rental purposes only. The tenants direct deposit their payments into the account every month. After it is deposited, I transfer it out. It works great for us and for the tenants. Haven't had a missed or late payment in 4 years. :-)

I own rental property; and one highly rated online rent payment solution is WilliamPaid.com

A few benefits of WilliamPaid is that roommates can pay their portion online and landlords and tenants can see who has yet to pay. Another benefit is that rent can be paid with any form of payment: cash, credit or debit card, or a combination of these. Also, tenants can opt in to report their rental payment history to the credit bureaus and establish a credit history which...

Hi Robin,

I, too, am a landlord. There is a fantastic rental property software called "Buildium." It is online based and you can manage your properties completely from application to running credit and background checks to collecting rent online.

Also, they can up with their bank to do an online wire transfer.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
