Are any of you familiar with lenders that offer loans for vacant land?

This will not include the construction of a home. I'm seeking a lender that can finance land by itself. Thanks!

There are some loans that will allow you to buy a land once you have picked a builder that is already approved by that lender - in this case you should be planning to build once you buy the land. Few lenses will lend money just for the land itself and it may be a little challenging to qualify if you are doing it for the first time. I had few clients that ended up paying cash since they were just investing in the land when they dedicded to buy. I do have some lenders to refer to you if you would like me to send over. If you are a veteran, you can use the Texas Veterans Land Board for these types of loans.

It is my understanding that Gateway Mortgage has started dealing in undeveloped land. For a definitive answer, I would talk to Kim Crook at Gateway. We deal with a lot of raw land, but most of our buyers are cash sales.
