Does MUD taxes increase?

I suppose they could increase as the rates are voted on but I have never seen this occur. They should remain the same or even decrease.

MUD taxes are not fixed, so they can increase or decrease. Typically at the inception of the neighborhood, they are set for the specific number of homes planned for the neighborhood. As more and more homeowners move in and "add" to the tax bill, the rate taxed commonly goes down. If the developer adds more homes to the original plan, the rate could increase. After the neighborhood has been complete and built out over several years, the rate typically decreases.
