Can I represent a buyer for my "family trust" vacation home?

My aunts and uncles own a house near Lake Travis. Since I'm a realtor in Houston, the listing agent went to an Austin realtor. If I advertised it myself, could I represent a buyer for the house? Obviously, I would have to disclose my ties to the house. Thanks!

Absolutely you can. Just make sure you disclose this information in writing to the seller. Good Luck!

Yes as long as it is disclosed, i wish you could have gotten the listing know that HAR covers the whole state not just Houston. It would have been syndicated everywhere that an Austin agent will be placing it. You could have also gotten a referral from the listing agents commission. You can sell Real Estate any where in the state. As far as placing it on MLS for advertisement you would need a listing agreement.
