Philip Walker
Philip Walker is a Senior Real Estate Consultant with Keller Williams Realty. Since being licensed in the 1980s, Philip has sold over 3,000 homes in the Dallas & Fort Worth metro area. Philip is also a member of Keller Williams Luxury International the exclusive luxury division of the largest, most productive real estate company in the world. It was inevitable from the age of 5 that Philip's interest in touring builder model homes on weekends would lead him to a successful career in the field of real estate. His notable skill in using Lego to design and build luxury homes also allowed him to express his creativity in the area of architecture. In fact, Philip's early career choices were architecture and veterinary medicine.Philip's early interest in real estate lead him to Texas Christian University where he earned dual degrees in Real Estate and Finance. He continued his education at TCU where he earned his MBA in Finance while working full time at Texas American Bank in Fort Worth, Texas. He entered the bank's credit analyst program and was later hired into the commercial real estate department just in time for the 1988 financial crisis that triggered the insolvency of most of the larger banks at the time. At age 24, Philip was overseeing a commercial real estate loan portfolio of over $300 million. Since most of the bank's clients stopped paying their loans, Philip spent the next two years working to salvage the bank's assets. Desiring a more positive career path, Philip decided to use his real estate education and license to start selling real estate full time. Having successfully navigated through several real estate cycles some more dramatic than others gives Philip special insights into the business when advising his clients about the investment potential of real estate.
