Mona Lutz

It is always nice to know about the people you are working with, so here is a little bit of my story.

I loved growing up in my hometown, San Antonio, with its beautiful countryside and charm. My parents had a passion for sailing, and we would head to Canyon Lake at every opportunity. My mother worked as an RN, but always had time to take us to the parks, museums, gardens and historical sites around town. In my college years we went on ski trips to Colorado and Scuba trips to Grand Cayman. Lots of activity and adventures!

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA, I was at a loss on what kind of career to pursue. A friend heard that a homebuilder was hiring salespeople, so I applied and got the job. And just like that, my career was set.

For over 16 years I worked with large volume builders selling starter homes, luxury builders selling unbelievable mini-mansions and everything in between. I also had the opportunity to work as a Building Consultant for a national On-Your-Lot custom builder. In that role, I helped people through architecture, engineering, financing and land development. Learning to read blueprints and engineering reports, redline plans and material estimating helped me understand homes from the ground up.

But that is enough about work! I am blessed with a happy marriage of 25 years, a blended family including two grown sons, four amazing grandkids and one rowdy Chocolate Lab. God smiled on me when he gave me an adventurous husband. We have logged over 600 scuba dives in the Caribbean and South Pacific including shark and wall dives. He is also a great sport when it comes to touring Historic Homes and Gardens while on vacation including most of Americas Castles.

Because I love homes and know how important they are to a sense of securitiy and belonging, my volunteer work is with Family Promise which helps homeless families with children get back on their feet. We are active members of the Woodlands United Methodist Church and support many local missions and youth ministries.
