When a rental application is submitted to listing agent, who is responsible for typing up the lease.

An application was submitted to the listing agent and was approved. The listing agent wants me to type up the lease. Is this the proper procedure. This is my first lease.

I don\'t believe that there is a requirement that it be written by one side or the other.  Since many owners of a rental property have specific requirements or preferences that they insist be written into a lease, is is better for the listing agent to write the lease and include all the particulars.  This also allows the listing agent to maintain better control of the process.  These \'particulars\' are of course, negotiable.
