First time home buyer here. I'm working on gathering all the information I need to know in regards to buying a home. I have been told by friends/co-workers that I should get a Realtor or broker to work with me to find a home and get the best deal. I already am pre-approved for a certain amount, but I don't know how to move forward and get representation.

Hi Chloe, you can search for your realtor through HAR or through individual brokers. You will want a realtor who is familiar with the area you are interested in. Your realtor should be able to provide you with answers to answer all of your questions. If you are already- pre-approved by a lender, you've already completed the first step. When choosing a realtor, you want to feel comfortable with the realtor and be informed. An educated home buyer is a smart home buyer. What's the Difference between a "Listing Agent" and "Selling Agent"?
