It's not an exaggeration to say that Lori is a lifesaver and that she went above and beyond. She is a joy to work with -- extraordinarily helpful, efficient, compassionate as well as incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. She was not only our agent but our project manager, contractor and knower of all things home maintenance and real estate. We were out of state during the whole process, and Lori was our boots on the ground, making sure everything went smoothly. She worked quickly and effectively to address all of the issues that came up, and there were a lot. Throughout, she remained cheerful and clear-headed, skillfully guiding us through the process, by our side every step of the way. She is an EXCELLENT communicator. I can't recommend Lori highly enough. We were privileged to work with her, and you will be, too.
Lori with The Craft Team was an absolute pleasure to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better realtor to help us with the sale of our rental home! With us being out of state, she really took the reins and was pivotal in coordinating with contractors to repair and update the home to get it market ready. She is hard working, knowledgeable, very communicative & responsive, forthright, and just a true joy to work with. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. She goes above and beyond to get the job done right! A+++
I have two simple takeaways for any prospective sellers. Lori knows what she is doing, and the results prove it.
If you want more details, read on.
Not only was it a slow time in the selling season, but as all potential sellers may have noticed, everyone is “waiting”. After consulting with Lori, she expertly came up with a selling price. This was the first time I experienced her expertise based on her years of experience and her intimate knowledge of Coles Crossing. It wasn’t just the average of some comps. Yes the comps were meticulously reviewed and values equalized, but then she steps back and looks at an holistic pricing strategy based on analysis of the comps and the current market conditions along with her marketing strategy.
Next was getting the house ready for sale. We had a 24 year old house. The decor, paint and furniture (sadly) was from early 2000. Lori explained that a potential buyer needs to see themselves and their stuff (not ours) in the house (seems obvious right but I had no idea. I loved my old stuff LOL!) Lori is a no-nonsense straight shooter. She methodically came through the whole house and said, get rid of this, get rid of that, keep this, keep that, etc. Let me take a detour for context. When we were interviewing realtors, I asked all of them, “What do I get for the commission I’ll pay you?”. Apart from her expertise and experience, Lori then staged the entire downstairs either bringing in furniture for empty rooms or accenting other rooms. She even brought in a huge bowl of about three dozen Honey Crisp apples and those things aren’t cheap LOL!. Go check the listing, it looked great.
The next hard question was how much do we put into “fixing it up”. We’ve heard a lot of advice from many realtors from don’t do anything at all, to quite a bit more. Lori expertly advised us on what would pay off and what we could ignore. She even had recommendations that scaled based on how much we were willing to spend. She was spot on. We made the improvements she advised (and that’s all she’ll do is advise, she won’t “force” you, it’s still your decision but she’ll make sure you’re making an informed decision).
The result of the process up to this point… we got a contract less than 48 hours after the listing went live.
Then came the hard part and where Lori’s experience and expertise really comes into play. All the negotiation and back and forth. I won’t bore you with all the details, but let’s just say she is very good at what she does, and… she was doing a whole lot more in the background (negotiation wise) than I realized at the time.
Other things that made working with Lori a pleasure is she is totally accessible. I’m not sure she sleeps. Often she would be responding close to or after midnight. She responded to every text and phone call immediately or well within a reasonable time.
The result… from listing to cash in hand at closing was 32 days (probably could have been sooner but the buyer had a VA loan so it was a little slower due to the more stringent requirements of a VA loan) so the results speak for themselves.
I’ll close with this… about two weeks into the whole thing, I remember there was just a lot happening. It’s the type of stuff that could stress you out and make you overwhelmed. But I remember telling Lori, “I feel comfortable knowing that you’ve got this”. And she did.
Lori is an exceptional real estate agent! We had an amazing experience working with her. She knew exactly how to market our house and it sold in record time. We would highly recommend her!
I just had the pleasure of working with Lori on a deal for the first time ever. I'm a mortgage guys so I work with lots of agents and it's easy to decipher the good from the bad. Lori is a very successful agent and after working with her it's easy to see why. She put together a great and professional offer to help our buyer win the house when there were almost a dozen bids. She accurately conveyed how much the house was worth. When we had an issue she did a great job getting with the other agent and allaying any fears they might have had and making sure everything stayed smooth. Finally, she was warm, nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with her on a personal level. It's not at all hard to see why Lori is so good at what she does. 5/5 would love to work with her again.
