Liza Smith’s roots run deep in the Texas Hill Country. Her family has a long history in Gillespie and Mason counties, and she moved to Fredericksburg at age nine when her parents opened The Plateau Café on Main Street. She proudly considers herself a native of this beautiful region.
Her Hill Country heritage runs generations deep—her four-times-great-grandfather was the first sheriff of Gillespie County, and her three-times-great-grandmother was a pioneering woman from Solingen, Germany who became the largest barbed-wire distributor and the first female banker in Texas. With trailblazers on both sides of her family, Liza brings that same fearless spirit and determination to everything she does.
Liza began her real estate career in 2004, practicing successfully for eight years before moving to Saudi Arabia in 2012. Upon returning to Fredericksburg, she reignited her passion for real estate and hasn’t looked back since. She has been part of the prestigious Millionaires Club every year since 2019 and achieved an impressive $25 million in sales in 2020 with Absolute Charm Real Estate Group—nearly doubling that volume in the years since.
In addition to her success in residential and investment properties, Liza brings a wealth of expertise in small acreage subdivisions. She has designed several, partnered in a few, and successfully marketed and sold many. Her deep understanding of land development—from layout and infrastructure planning to pricing strategy and buyer behavior—makes her a sought-after expert in this thriving segment of Hill Country real estate.
Liza is also highly experienced in ranch properties and rural land sales, with a passion for connecting people to the wide-open spaces that make the Hill Country so special.
