As CEO/Broker and Past President of the American Society of Interior Design, Laurie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Coton House Realty firm she has formed. After graduating from the University of Texas/Austin with a degree in business and a degree in interior design from the Houston Art Institute, Laurie embarked on her design career by purchasing and renovating homes for resale throughout the Houston area.

She soon discovered that proficiency as a licensed realtor complemented her design skills. As a 3rd generation Houstonian who has lived and worked in the inner loop for 35 years, she knows the city and surrounding suburbs intimately well and decided to combine her design expertise with real estate. Her role as Managing Broker for a local boutique real estate agency opened new horizons for combining real estate, design and remodeling services under the umbrella of Coton House Realty.

Laurie and her family are advocates of rescued animals. She also enjoys butterfly gardening, travel as time permits, reading, exploring the new coffee shops and restaurants for which Houston is well-known and, most of all, spending time with family and pets.
