Highly-organized and detail-oriented, Kate is a planner and an excellent networker. She knows how to pull people together to get the job done, a skill she developed during her first career as a civil engineer designing bridges, roadway planning, environmental planning, and roadway design. “That experience taught me to stay on top of things, to prioritize tasks, to use my time wisely, and to pursue projects that I was interested in. I also relate to a wide variety of people, especially engineers, which is important given Houston’s large energy sector.”

Kate was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in San Antonio where she attended Alamo Heights High School. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University where she was a member of the Civil Engineering Honor Society and served as President of Engineers Without Borders. "I enjoyed the diversity at A&M," Kate says. "I also learned to think critically and how to study well, and as a Realtor, that enables me to understand what is happening in the real estate market."

Kate's community and professional commitments include the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wine Competition Committee, which promotes children and education issues, and being active in her local church.

Kate and her husband have a beautiful daughter, Anna, and a labradoodle, Shiner.
