Karen's journey to becoming an agent was filled with self-discovery and a sincere realization that this is the right path for her. After being born and raised in Austin and graduating from UT Austin with an Apparel Design major, she got her first job as an Assistant Buyer with Bloomingdales in New York City. It was during this time that she discovered office work was not the right fit for her. This led her to try various careers, including starting a furniture business, taking premed courses, and others. After working in real estate development as an Executive Assistant, she decided to become a Realtor® and found her true passion. Today, Karen is proud to be helping others buy or sell throughout Austin. This community is where her husband and her raise their children, and she is truly excited to be serving the area in this way. Karen's husband Ric will also be joining this venture as they expand the Willard Group. From meeting clients for the first time to helping them through each step of this life-changing time, Karen loves being able to guide each person she works alongside. By listening closely to her client’s needs and desires, she makes this a fun experience from the first showing to closing day. While understanding her client's needs and keeping them informed are top priorities, she is also an expert at negotiating on their behalf to get the best deal possible.
