Joey was born & raised in San Antonio...After graduating from John Jay High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Operation Desert Storm...Upon finishing his Marine Corps commitment, he applied for, and was accepted into the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD)...After graduating from the SAPD Training Academy, Joey served in a multitude of capacities, including but not limited to, Patrol Officer on the West & South Service Areas, Community Policing Officer, Police Academy Instructor and Family Violence Officer...Joey retired from the SAPD after 25 years of service to the community...During his tenure, he was active in numerous philanthropic endeavors with the San Antonio Police Officer's Association (SAPOA) and served as the Chairman of the SAPOA Charitable Donations Committee for approximately 20 years in total... While still employed with the SAPD, but wanting to expand his horizons and prepare for life after his police career, Joey obtained his Texas Real Estate License in 2011...He practiced for approximately 5 1/2 years before becoming an Associate Broker in 2016...Joey has worked his entire Real Estate Career for San Antonio's Finest Realty & is the current Associate Broker/Branch Manager of The Bara Group at San Antonio's Finest Realty... In 2003, Joey earned a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University...He is a life long fan of the San Antonio Spurs & Dallas Cowboys...He has two adult children (Jay & Allie) and currently lives in NW San Antonio with his wife Becky and dog Onslow...
