A Houstonian now but British-born and bred, John spent nearly 20 years running his own retail business in southeast England before launching his own residential property management business in Central London. From these varied professions came a valuable combination of practical knowledge and well-honed customer skills, both of which have proved invaluable during his transition into real estate brokerage.
Throughout his accomplished career, John has recognized that communication is the key to successful interactions with clients. From intently listening to and understanding their needs and aspirations to maintaining a well-organized and honest dialogue throughout a transaction, these qualities have enabled him to maintain the trust of loyal clients. Hard-working with a great sense of humor and an extraordinary knack for getting along with people from all walks of life, John is respected for going the extra mile for clients and doing everything in his power to help someone in need.
“Treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself,” he says. “That means fairly, honestly and loyally, no matter what trials and tribulations lay ahead.” Commercially savvy and possessing great negotiating skills, John combines these interpersonal communication skills with a vast sales and marketing background, resulting in unsurpassed customer service that is often difficult to match.
John was born and educated in England, where he earned an honors degree in economics from the University of Lancaster. He has owned multiple residential properties as renovation projects and ‘buy-to-let’ investments in southeast England and in New York prior to moving to Houston. John and his wife, a native Texan and graduate of Texas A & M University, are residents of Braes Heights and love living so close to Rice University, the Museum District and Rice Village restaurants and retail shops. A keen sportsman who enjoys playing golf and tennis regularly, John also has two grown children who are currently living in the UK.
