Jane Straw knows the value of finding the right home, whether you are new to a city or born and raised right there. Jane brings the dual experiences of having lived in Houston for over 25 years and having been a transplant herself several times over. She knows that finding your new nest is key to building your life, and she has the local knowledge, eye for design, and the practicality to guide you through the ins and outs of buying and selling.
As her client, you will find that Jane takes your dreams to heart and applies her creativity and energy to make your sale or search successful. Her primary mission is to find the right match for each buyer and seller to propel smooth transactions to the closing table.
Jane's clients span the spectrum of real estate needs, from young professionals buying their first home to investors managing multiple properties for lease and sale, from families searching for their "forever home" to seniors looking for the right-size home for their third act, Jane is resourceful and dedicated to finding the right solution for you.
Career moves took her from Pittsburgh to Venezuela, then Houston, St. Louis, Memphis, and back to Venezuela. Jane became bilingual (English/Spanish) while living in Venezuela. In 2004, she was happy to return home to the Bayou City.
Jane retired from teaching and returned to her real estate practice. Her sense of design aesthetics plus her experience in negotiation and psychology of the sale combine to create her formula for success. Jane holds a Certification in Senior Real Estate Services (SRES) and At Home With Diversity (AHWD).
In her leisure time, Jane enjoys travelling, gardening, reading and exercise. She loves dogs, particularly Golden Retriever/Lab mixes. Frequently she volunteers with her Westbury United Methodist church group and at Westbury High School.
