My introduction into real estate came about through a love of working with people and because of my organizational skills and efficiency. I managed a local real estate office for over a year and from the encouragement of brokers and agents decided to go in to full time real estate sales.

I love this business! What drives me each day is the opportunity to help someone. As the Broker/Owner of Emblem Properties, I am able to continue to help clients whether they are selling or buying real estate and work with our team of agents as they serve even more clients. G.K. (JEFF) MARKHAM is the principal broker for MARKHAM REALTY, INC. He has 49 years experience in real estate sales, establishing Markham Realty in 1970. His expertise is primarily in land, including acreage investments, ranches, timberlands, hunting properties and weekend retreats. He is also involved in commercial properties in and around the Huntsville area. Jeff was born in Huntsville, graduated from Deer Park High School, and attended Sam Houston State University (1966-1970) majoring in Agribusiness. He has been involved with the Walker County Fair Association since 1981, serving as a vice-president for six years and pro-rodeo chairman for the first nine years of the event. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Huntsville. Jeff feels that Huntsville, Walker County, and the surrounding area offer an exciting future.

Katy Clopton became a licensed real estate agent in 2022 and has taken great pride in guiding and supporting her clients through their buying, selling or leasing experience since. Being born in Walker County and raised in Trinity County, Katy has built relationships with many local businesses and people. This has also allowed her to spend many years learning Trinity, Walker and surrounding counties throughout East Texas giving her the knowledge needed to find the home that best fits her client's needs. Alicia Lansford is a licensed REALTOR® and Broker Associate who is truly passionate about client care and education. She understands how personal the home sale process can be and works with buyers and sellers to help them make clear, confident decisions. After graduating from Texas A&M, Alicia pursued her master's degree at University of Nebraska Lincoln. She combines the fundamentals and professionalism from these degrees with diligence and empathy to bring you an exceptional level of service. When she isn't serving her clients, you can find Alicia working at the ranch she and her husband, Levi, own or co-piloting their 1969 Piper Arrow plane to one of Texas Monthly's Top 50 BBQ Joints. Together, they own and operate a show cattle operation, along with a few horses, lots of barn cats, and a pet duck.

MICHELLE WHITECOTTON re-joined Markham Realty as a licensed REALTOR in October 2016. She worked for Markham Realty, as Office Manager, from 1992-1996 while attending Sam Houston State University. She and her husband Tim Whitecotton, Captain at the Walker County Sheriff's Department, have two grown children. Michelle has many years of experience working in Walker County including 15 years at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Michelle is the current President of The Tall Pines Association of REALTORS. Her designations include TRLP (Texas REALTORS Leadership Program), RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert), and Social Media Pro. She also has been involved in the rodeo industry for over 30 years. She is deeply rooted in Walker and surrounding counties and her knowledge of the area gives her the ability to find the perfect place for her clients. Her personality and passion for the real estate industry shines brightest when she interacts with clients to help make their real estate dreams come true. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, helping the future generations of young people in the rodeo industry, and facilitating real estate transactions with customers that depend on her.
