Car Rental

Renting a car is a popular option for visitors, however, you'll need to obtain a local driving permit. International driving licenses are not valid in Grenada.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available on the island, but they don't have meters, so it's recommended to agree on the fare before the trip starts.

Buses

Public transportation in Grenada includes buses which are actually minibuses or vans that travel along specific routes. They are an inexpensive way to travel, but can be crowded.

Ferries

There are regular ferries between the islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Airport Transfers

Maurice Bishop International Airport is the main airport in Grenada. It's advisable to arrange an airport transfer in advance with your hotel or a taxi company.

Driving

Driving is on the left-hand side of the road in Grenada.

Cycling

Bicycles are available for rent in some areas, but be aware that the hilly terrain and narrow roads can make cycling challenging.

Walking

Some areas, especially in St. George's, are easily walkable. However, be aware that pedestrian sidewalks aren't always available and the tropical climate can make long walks uncomfortable.

Scooter/Motorbike Rentals

These are also available, but the same rules apply as with car rentals - you'll need to obtain a local driving permit. Remember to always have your passport or a copy of it with you when you're out and about.
