Safety
Seat belts are mandatory for all vehicle occupants. Using a mobile phone while driving is prohibited. It's advised to avoid driving at night due to poor lighting and roaming wildlife.
Fuel
Petrol stations are plentiful in urban areas, but can be scarce in rural areas. It's recommended to fill up the tank when available.
Boat
Botswana is landlocked, but boat tours are available along the Chobe and Okavango rivers.
Bicycle
Bicycles are a common mode of transportation in rural areas. However, they are not very popular in cities due to traffic and lack of dedicated cycling lanes. Remember, always carry your passport or a copy of it while traveling in case of random checks by local police.
