Peter Van Borssum
Sand N Sea Properties, LLC
About Peter

I have fond childhood memories of Galveston and appreciate the advantage that growing up on the island has given me in my career as a local real estate professional. My family moved to Galveston when I was 5 years old from New Orleans, La. I attended St Mary’s Elementary, O’Connell Junior High and O’Connell High School. Our family home was one block from the seawall and I spent most of my summers on the beach surfing and fishing.

After high school, I attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1978. After graduation, I was drawn back to the coast and I joined a Houston-based geophysical exploration company embarking on a 25-year career in the international oilfield services industry. Over the years, my job responsibilities required travel to all parts of the world and included longer residencies in Anchorage, Alaska, London and Rio de Janeiro.

Upon leaving the oilfield services industry in 2003 and returning to the United States from London, my wife and I settled in Jamaica Beach. We bought a waterfront home and have been remodeling it ever since! We could have settled anywhere, but the Galveston sand and salt air beckoned and returning home seemed the right thing to do. We don%u219t regret it one bit, and moving to the "West End" is proving to be a very positive quality-of-life decision. When not working, I can be found fishing in West Galveston Bay, working in our garden, or walking our Airedale Terrier, Olive Oyl.

Having the advantage of growing up here means I have an in-depth familiarity with all neighborhoods and all aspects of living on Galveston Island. My experiences with professional IT Systems, business software, health & safety management issues and multi-cultural environments compliment my professional real estate skills. Most importantly, being professionally trained in a service-driven environment compels me to offer the highest quality of customer service. As the world of real estate transactions evolve, it is clear that only technology and first-class service will differentiate real estate practitioners.

Since being licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission as a Real Estate Salesperson, I have obtained the following accreditations from the National Association of Realtors: ePro – Internet Marketing, GRI – Graduate Realtor Institute, ABR – Accredited Buyers Representative, SFR – Short Sales and Foreclosures. I am an active member of the Houston Association of Realtors and the Galveston Association of Realtors.

About Brian

Selling real estate in Galveston is a dream job. The Island landscape is so unique. From beach side bungalows to the charming Victorian cottages, there is a dream house out there for everyone. These are my top selling points for Galveston:

  • 1. Fish, surf, sail, swim, kayak… There are so many ways to enjoy the ocean, bays, and beaches of Galveston. These are Galveston’s greatest resources. We need to take care of them.
  • 2. We have a vibrant art scene, great local music, and a festival almost every weekend. Bring on Mardi Gras!
  • 3. The historic character of the Island creates an amazing sense of place that you can’t find in the ‘burbs.
  • 4. There is a common saying in Galveston, “Everywhere in 10 minutes.” The city was planned for the 19th century pedestrian, so everything is located in close proximity.
  • 5. The revival and emergence of local industry ensures economic growth in Galveston. In recent news, UTMB revealed plans to build a new hospital, the Wharves Board is planning an expansion of port facilities on Pelican Island, and the Galveston Pleasure Pier is rocking!
  • Note to Sellers: Whether you are looking to move your family into a new house or secure your financial future, selling your home is a very important decision. I rely on extensive market knowledge and tactical negotiation skills to help sellers realize the maximum value for their home. In addition, I utilize the latest marketing technology to help sellers reach the largest network of buyers, which means your home will sell faster!

Note to Buyers: My most important obligation to my client is keeping them educated about the housing market. Rest assured, that by working with me you will be informed about every available property on the market and you will receive continuous updates about changes in the marketplace. I also provide assistance to buyers with obtaining financing, submitting offers, and coordinating inspections. In the end, I take the stress out of this exciting and important decision to purchase a home.

    Curtis Miller
Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene-Gary Greene-Galveston Intown
    About Curtis

Curtis has been a sales manager for the past 30 years throughout the home industry. His path has lead him to work with families along the years, including grandparents, parents, and the upcoming generations as well. He understands the next phase in life and will ask the many overlooked questions regarding the needs of your next home. Curtis is very service oriented and has managed many commercial and city municipality accounts. This attention to detail transfers directly to providing the knowledge of finding the ideal home for the way each client lives. I love the historic aspects of century homes and help preserve the charm these gems have to offer. If you are looking for your perfect home in the city or a home at the beach, I know the neighborhoods.

Growing up in Houston, and living full in Galveston, I have vast knowledge of the Houston Metro and surrounding areas. I first moved to the Heights in 1988 and have lived in the area ever since.

In addition, Curtis has always given back to the community.
