My husband and I are thinking about buying a property in the US, while we are living abroad in the UK. We need to know what the best way to go about this type of transaction is. Do we need a mortgage loan, or a bank loan? What is the cheapest or easiest way to do it? Any info would be great!

The best way to purchase if you were to obtain a mortgage would be to find a local lender in the area. They should be able to run your credit and ask for the necessary paperwork. In order to close on the home, you would likely need to sign at a U.S. consulate or embassy. In my opinion, I would not buy a home without seeing the property. Good luck!
