UPDATED REVIEW: I wanted to leave an updated review because what I originally posted is now the complete opposite of my mom’s experience. Since the original management team left, things have gone entirely downhill. My mother went a full week without AC during the hottest days, and the office staff offered no real help, no urgency, and no communication. There seems to be constant staff turnover, and it shows. The office is unorganized, unprofessional, and it feels like no one knows what’s going on. What used to feel like a caring, supportive place now feels careless and frustrating. Because of how poorly this situation was handled and other issues, my mother will not be renewing her lease. It’s disappointing to see how much the management change has affected the quality of life for residents, especially elderly ones who rely on responsiveness and consistency. The potential is there, but the current management team is not providing it. ————— My elderly mom has been living at The Edison for a little while now, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the office ladies, especially property managers. They are truly a ray of light! They’re always friendly, patient, and go out of their way to help with anything my mom and resident's need. It’s rare to find staff that genuinely cares like they do, and it makes such a difference. The building is well maintained, and my mom loves the quiet, at least as quiet as you can get being off Westheimer haha! The location is its best attribute, with plenty of dining options nearby. If you’re looking for a place that offers a comfortable living experience, I highly recommend The Edison.

Tonssssssssss of problems here. Doesn't matter if they got new or old apartments available. Lived here for a whole year and before I moved in, the fence was leaning like the Eiffel Tower! Can't make this up. It stayed that way the entire time. I bet it still not fixed. Bunch of stray cats. Idk if the one maintenance guy still works there but he be feeding them and everything like they his pets. (Suspect) The gate code box dont be working like that. Supposed to be a gated community but gate be wide open!

Inez did any amazing job placing my family and me in our new home. She was able to answer all my questions and made sure I had all the information I needed to have a great transition into my apartment. She got everything ready in the time frame I needed it. There was some issues but she followed through to make sure everything was scheduled and got fixed.

The application processes was the best thing about these apartments as it is prompt and you actually get someone on the phone. I never was given a tour prior to move in. The unit I applied for was switched the last minute which was the first red flag I ignored because I needed to find a home for me and my children. Once moved in the bathroom door was broken serval windows were broken and roaches were everywhere. Maintenance did come and fix the windows however my bathroom door was never fixed. There was leak coming from the walls causing the carpet to be mildew. The A/C unit also started to leak and went on months for months. I was told there was no maintenance currently employed took four months for them to employ a new maintenance team. I never felt so scammed and renting an apartment I was forced to move out due to the unforeseen living conditions. Save your time and money. I had a unit on the outside of the property and the cops were here regularly. DO NOT MOVE HERE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

The new management at Edison Apartments has been fantastic! They’re responsive, friendly, and have really improved the community. Huge difference from before—highly recommend.
