For Donna and Dale Story, real estate has always been about more than buying and selling property—it’s about people, relationships, community, and helping clients get where they want to be.

As Broker Associates and leaders of The Story Team powered by JLA Realty, Donna and Dale bring years of real estate experience, extensive market knowledge, and a deep connection to Huntsville, Walker County, Lake Livingston, Lake Conroe, Montgomery, Madisonville, and other surrounding areas throughout Southeast Texas. Specializing in Residential, Farm & Ranch (Land), and Commercial Real Estate, they have the experience and resources to assist clients with a wide range of real estate needs. Together, they have built a successful business largely through referrals from past clients, friends, and members of the communities they serve.

Donna’s natural love of working with people, combined with her community involvement and real estate knowledge, has helped The Story Team become a recognized and successful real estate team throughout the region. For over 15 years in the real estate industry, Donna has been honored by Texas Monthly as a FIVE STAR Real Estate Agent, recognizing her commitment to exceptional client service and overall client satisfaction. Donna, Dale, and The Story Team have also received numerous production and achievement awards throughout their real estate careers.

While Donna and Dale are proud of those accomplishments, they are even more proud of the team they have built around them. They credit much of The Story Team’s continued success to the dedicated agents and support professionals who work alongside them every day to provide clients with exceptional service from the first conversation through closing and beyond.

Community and industry involvement have always been important to Donna and Dale. Donna has served on numerous local boards and is a Past Chairwoman of the Walker County/Huntsville Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center. She also served as President of the Tall Pines Association of REALTORS® and continues to remain actively involved in the REALTOR® community, serving on boards and committees throughout the professional network. She is also a proud supporter of Sam Houston State University and a lifetime member of the SHSU Alumni Association.

Donna and Dale are members of the National Association of REALTORS®, Texas REALTORS®, their local REALTOR® association, and Land Broker’s Co-op. Their experience as Broker Associates, along with their expertise in Residential, Farm & Ranch (Land), and Commercial properties, gives their clients knowledgeable guidance whether buying, selling, investing, relocating, or marketing a unique property.

Huntsville and Elkins Lake are home for Donna and Dale, and their roots in the area run deep. When they aren’t working with clients or their team, they enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, music, and simply enjoying life—whether at home in Elkins Lake, at their ranch property outside Huntsville, or escaping to the mountains of Colorado.
