Donna Shipwash

"Just another bug on the windshield of life," says Donna Shipwash when faced with a challenge. Highly professional, joyous, friendly, self-motived, and a self-described people person, Donna lifts the spirits in a room just by entering. A licensed Realtor over 15 years, she has seen markets wax and wane but believes that one thing never changes: "As Realtors, we help our clients fulfill their dreams."

Donna has a strong professional background in real estate, and design, an ideal combination for a residential Realtor. Her prior real estate experience includes multi-million dollar production in on-site sales for several local master planned communities including Fairfield, Bridgeland, Imperial Oaks, and Town Lake Estates. As an interior design consultant, Donna created and built a design consulting company and gift shop and managed floorplan design, interior and exterior selections, purchasing, and merchandising activities for several local custom home builders. She also provided custom design services for new homeowners. Intensely creative, Donna engineered the start-up of a design manufacturing company marketing customized upholstery and accessories for wheelchair manufacturers.

Born on the air force base at Camp Lejeune where her father served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, Donna grew up in Florida and attended St. Petersburg College. “I am fortunate to have had opportunities to be a success,” says Donna. “I started my real estate career at 19 in Florida, moved to Houston at 22 and landed a position selling the first apartment conversion condominiums in Houston and perhaps all of Texas. I sold 40 units, went on maternity leave, and then returned to sell apartment conversions at Georgetown near Town and Country. Even as a design consultant and gift shop owner, my career was always involved with helping people realize their dreams for their homes.”

Donna supports a number of Houston charities and professional organizations including the American Heart Association, the American Business Woman Association, TIRR Hospital, and Variety Children's Club. She and her husband have been married for more than 37 years and have six children and seven grandchildren. Her leisure time is spent with her husband and family members. When questioned about the future of residential real estate in Houston and the surrounding areas, Donna emphatically states, " This is a perfect time to invest in Houston real estate especially with the huge amount of families and business' moving to this area."
